51mins: CHANCE! Latics burst into life as Albrighton wins the ball from Ince's toe in the middle, he spreads it left to McManaman who begins his run at goal, it's a solid drive right footed from the winger and Kuzsczak couldn't hold onto the ball, but he got up to jump on his spill.
50mins: Latics having to be patient sometimes because Brighton are a solid passing team. Moments without the ball need to be used wisely and cheap free kicks need to be kept at a minimum.
49mins: After a few brief scares at the back Latics look to be settling into the second half and taking the game to Brighton.
Most definitely Michael, he says he's ready!
Fast paced start to the second half, Brighton had a great chance in the opening few minutes with a close range header which troubled Nicholls, but it's still level. Both sets of supporters a lot more vocal now.
The second half is underway!
McCann has done very well in his run in the team Michael. Agreed James McArthur is a fantastic player, but it's difficult to have either of them miss out I suppose.
What do you think of the game so far Michael?
No changes likely for Latics at half time, all subs out on the pitch at half time.
It is Michael! Good afternoon!

I'll be back with you for the second half. Stay here on the Wall for more from the mighty Latics!
Half time at the DW Stadium, Wigan Athletic 0 Brighton 0!
Brighton clear danger from a corner and look to break, but McManaman fouls and play dies down.
One minute added time, McManaman scaring the defence now. Latics right on top!
44mins: CHANCE! Latics toying with Brighton on the edge of the area, Albrighton plays in a high cross which confuses the defence. The ball drops to Fortune back post, he takes a touch out of his feet and just manages to get a shot away, but it's into the side netting.
43mins: Some lovely passing movement in spells from Latics, but it's mainly been at the back. Our attacking players do look lively, they just need to keep linking up and then hopefully the goal will come.
41mins: GREAT CHANCE! Nick Powell superb until the finish! Dropped into his own half to gather the ball, played a neat one-two with Fortune about 40 yards out, the defenders were asleep and both of them had just one defender to beat, Powell shot instead of sliding in Fortune to his right and the effort went harmlessly wide.
Well Tana, he didn't play midweek in the Development Squad 5-4 win against Preston. He also mentioned in an interview earlier this week that he thinks he's ready. He could be used soon I think, especially with the amount of games we've got.
38mins: Brighton finding it difficult in the last few minutes to break Latics down. Shotton, Barnett and co just soaking the pressure up and waiting to pounce.
37mins: Lots of cheap free kicks being given away so far from both sides, they've really stopped the flow of play.
36mins: Nick Powell just knows how to frustrate defenders and force them into fouling him. His body shape and the way he holds the ball up is superb.
34mins: Ince fell asleep in the middle for Brighton, allowing Powell to steal the ball from behind. Those little bits of inconsistency creeping into Brighton's game could be excellent for Latics.
Free kick from Watson comes to nothing as Brighton clear.
32mins: Bruno very lucky to still be on the pitch here, takes McManaman down on the wing after he'd knocked the ball past him, but now second yellow given.
Aimed at the back post but Boyce clears, break was on with Powell until Brighton tackle and then eventually a foul on Watson brings the game to a halt.
31mins: Little bit of trouble for Latics now, McManaman handles 35 yards out, giving Brighton the chance to get a ball into the box.
29mins: Fortune, Powell and McManaman working very hard to close down Brighton defenders when they're on the ball. Good to see them up for it so much.
28mins: The voice of the DW coming alive in the last few minutes. The fans encouraged by what their team are producing so far.
28mins: It's taken short, Fortune and McManaman eventually work it back to Watson on the edge of the area who slices an effort wide from range.
Chance for Latics to get the ball into the box.
27mins: YELLOW! Bruno Saltor drags Powell to the ground as the forward looks to be making steps towards the area. The Spanish defender then slams the ball into the ground in protest and is rightfully booked.
26mins: There are a few gaps opening up in the Brighton defence, Latics just need to find the final ball. McCann almost threaded Powell through the middle, had his accuracy been a bit better Powell would have been in on goal.
25mins: Latics back to their rhythm of attacking, but apart from Powell's opportunity there hasn't been anything too clear cut.
